Centered on China’s “Dual Carbon” Strategy and the development requirements for high‑efficiency, clean, low‑carbon, digital and intelligent energy systems, the Institute takes smart energy as its guide and deeply integrates emerging technologies including big data, artificial intelligence, digital twin and the Internet of Things. It has built a high‑end R&D platform featuring military‑civil integration and pooling global expertise. Prioritized research areas cover multi‑energy complementation and collaborative optimization of integrated energy systems, key technologies across the whole hydrogen energy chain of “production‑storage‑transportation‑utilization”, as well as innovative research on green and intelligent marine vessel equipment (including hydrogen‑based green‑fuel engines). Committed to tackling industrial bottlenecks such as new‑energy consumption and low‑carbon marine power, the Institute provides systematic scientific and technological support for building a maritime power and advancing the energy revolution.
