Teaching and Educational Reform

Lead instructor of the Fujian Provincial First-Class Course Energy and Environment. Principal investigator of the Ministry of Education’s Industry-University-Research Collaborative Education Teaching Reform Project and a Fujian Provincial Teaching Reform Project. The teaching outcome was selected as an excellent typical case for graduate training at Xiamen University. Guided undergraduate and graduate student teams to win one national gold medal and one national bronze medal in the China College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, as well as two provincial gold medals and one silver medal in Fujian Province. Published one teaching reform paper. As the lead, received one First Prize of the Fujian Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, and one Special Prize and one Second Prize of the Xiamen University Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award.

Research Projects

As Principal Investigator, has led over ten scientific research projects, including the Key Project of the Joint Fund for Regional Innovation and Development of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), a National Key Research and Development Program of China, General Projects of the NSFC, Major Science and Technology Projects of Fujian Province, and the Fujian Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Foundation Project.

Serves as Director of the Fujian Provincial Engineering Research Center for Clean and High-Value Utilization of Biomass, and Director of the Bioenergy Research Center at Xiamen University. Also serves as a member of the Biomass Energy Professional Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC), and Vice President of the Fujian Energy Research Society. Holds editorial positions as a board member or young board member of SCI-indexed journals including Green Energy and Environment and Carbon Research.
