On May 13th, we held the 38th Energy Forum. This time, the speaker is Professor Ding Jun, the Terra Power Senior Project Manager, who is also a visiting professorof our college. The theme focuses on traveling wave reactor and fuel cycle developments.

Dr. Ding Jun firstly analyzed the current energy situation and emphasized the important position of nuclear energy, which lead to the introduction of traveling wave reactor principle. Dr. Ding Jun also shared the traveling wave reactor research and cooperation on the traveling wave reactor between China and US. Since then, Dr. Ding Jun shared personal and some of the development experience in Tara.

In issue exchange discussion, the students asked many questions about traveling wave reactor cooperation such as the safety. Dr. Ding Jun patiently answered them, and the atmosphere was very active.
