On March 15th 2016, a discussion on the safety treatment of spent fuel carried out in Room A211.

The forum's keynote speaker was Professor Zhangjian. Professor Zhang firstly put forward the concept: spent fuel, which means the highly radioactive nuclear waste. Then he introduced the spent fuel from different aspects: its production process, concrete composition, and physicochemical properties, which made students understand why dealing with the spent fuel is so important. Finally, based on the analysis of existing processing methods, Professor Zhang proposed the ideas and prospects for future innovation in some of the methods.
