On December 29th, at 19:30, we held the final Energy Forum of 2015 year. With great honor, we invited Dr. Zhang Yaoli as the speaker. Dr. Zhang introduced the upgrade modification process and the specific performance and application of the super computer Titan.

Dr Zhang repeatedly stressed that the high performance computer leading country would have a huge advantage in a series areas such as national defense, science, medicine, energy and the others. Helping students to understand the importance of super computer and Titan’s important role in the United States, Dr Zhang introduced from many aspects: the predecessor Jaguar upgrade modification, practical application of Titan in AP1000 and full-scale simulation and modeling, and its high performance computing high utilization efficiency of performance, which led students to get in an unprecedented new world. In addition, Dr Zhang also compared Titan with China's Tianhe II, introducing the achievements made by China in supercomputer development and also pointed out some existing problems, which made students understand more about super computer.
