Professor Mark Mascal from University of California, Davis was invited to visit the College of Energy during the period from November 14th to November 18th. In this period, Professor Mascal had an in-depth discussion on biomass energy and renewable energy and gave some helpful advice on the direction of the study of biomass energy.

On November 15th, Professor Mascal gave a lecture, Sustainable Chemistry and Renewable Platform Molecules as the No.905 XMU Nanqiang Academic Lecture in Room A221, Hemu Building. He shared his ideas and opinions on biomass energy and renewable energy and the applications of renewable platform molecules in new energy and polymer materials.

        The lecture was hosted by Professor Lu Lin, vice dean of college. And Professor Mascal was awarded the plaque for Nanqiang Academic Lecture by Professor Ning Li, dean of college.

        After the lecture, Professor Mascal interacted with teachers and students and gave more information on the enrollment, expertise and environment of University of California, Davis for the students who were going to study aboard.
