Recently, combined with the construction of “double first-class” project and the urgent need of the application planning layout for the national and ministerial scientific research platform, Our college organized professors in related fields to hold a seminar on the development of the discipline of biomass energy. Professor Xu Feng, distinguished professor of the Yangtze River Scholar Award Program of the Ministry of Education and winner of the China Outstanding Youth Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of and expert of special allowance of the State Council, was invited to attend the seminar.

        The professors shared their views and opinions of biomass subject direction combined with their experiences, holding that with the development over nearly 10 years, the discipline of biomass energy has made many achievements at home and abroad. The experts thought, at present there still exist some unreasonable phenomenon in many aspects such as the construction of talent team. The meeting also made specific plans for the application of national and ministerial-level scientific research platform work.

        As the focus of the development of our school “double first-class” construction and our college, biomass energy has a good foundation. With the rapid development of the industry at home and abroad, we should seize the opportunities of the “double first-class” construction and the 13th five-year plan, and take advantage of joint team in order to make contributions to the influence of our school and college in the relevant field.
