From May 27th to 29th, Fujian Creative youth entrepreneurship contest was held at Fuzhou University, two teams from College of Energy took part in the contest on behalf of Xiamen University.

2016 Creative youth entrepreneurship contest started to collect entries at the end of 2015 in the whole school area. The two teams all attended the business plan challenge contest, with their entries combined with projects from companies.

By report, the two teams not only include undergraduate students and postgraduate students from College of Energy, but also students from College of Economics, College of Management and College of Chemistry. The team “Radial source a new” forward a business model which uses high energy electron accelerator to irradiate food under the guidance of the Cao Lixuan, which is aimed at the drawbacks present and relies on nuclear energy research institute. The other team aims at take advantage of biomass to produce Ievulinate directed by SunYong, of whose the technology relies on biomass Energy Research Institute.

After six months of efforts, the two teams all advanced to the final after much challenge from defense and much professional guidance. The two teams fully show the high spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship of students and teachers from our college with translating the study of advanced technology into entrepreneurial practice, closely centered on the distinguished features of College of Energy. This is a breakthrough in entrepreneurial contest, which will make a difference to the development of our work in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
