December 2nd 2015, we held the thirtieth Energy Forum. We invited associate professor Gong Zhengliang to explain the status and development of lithium ion batteries, which could help students have a preliminary understanding of the current situation of lithium ion batteries.

Firstly, Professor Gong succinctly explained the principle of lithium ion battery to us, and then explained to the lithium ion battery structure, which made the students have an intuitive understanding of the lithium ion battery. Compared with other battery, lithium ion battery has many advantages such as high battery energy density, small size, light weight and so on, so that it became the leader in the chemical battery. In addition, the development of lithium ion in the future is also a focus of the professor's speech. The application of lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles is both a challenge and an opportunity.

Students all gained a lot of knowledge in this speech and broadened their horizons.
