In the morning of June 14, Director of Yunnan Province Efficient Use of Biomass Engineering Laboratory, Yunnan College Biomass Chemical Processing and Synthesis Laboratory, Dean of Materials Engineering College, Southwest Forestry University, Professor Zheng Zhifeng attended the Energy Forum, and delivered the lecture entitled Efficient use of biomass”.

Professor Lu Lin, Vice Dean of the College of Energy presided the Energy Forum, Secretary of the Party committee Sun Ziguang, Vice Secretary of the Party committee Ma Zhaohai, office director Zhang Zhenghong and teacher from BioEnergy Institute attended this forum. Sun Ziguang and Lin Lu awarded the Forties Energy Forum Commemorative Certificate to Professor Zheng Zhifeng.

Professor Zheng Zhifeng introduced some research work of Southwest Forestry University in efficient use of biomass (Biomass-X) , including biomass liquefaction and liquefied prepared adhesives, molding materials, foam materials, foam carbon material, carbon fiber, nano carbon fiber and other materials, cellulose directional catalytic liquefaction of bio-based polyols, extracted 5-HMF and other chemical products, vegetable oil, and biodiesel separation, oil-based epoxy plasticizers, oils group polyols, biomass pyrolysis gas phase catalytic reforming its products refined preparation of bio-based chemicals and other aromatic hydrocarbons. At last, Professor Zheng Zhifeng showed his unique opinion on biomass, which is co-related to the challenge and development we are facing to develop biomass to produce energy.
