On 24th of August , Xiamen University, with the freshmen of 2016 entering thecame to College of Energy at Xiamen University, College of Energy welcomes another session of freshmen. Organized Guided by the Party branch Committee of College of Energy, and sdominated by student cadres and , warmhearted volunteers have made specific  full preparations for the arrival of the freshmen, which reveals thorough solicitude for the freshmen, from the beginning of summer vacation to the moment freshmen entering dormitories..

Beginning at 24th of August, College of Energy hasThey been providedding various services for freshmen at Activity Center of Students, including registering and allocating supplies of military training. Volunteers greetedwelcome freshmen and their parents with drinks; give each student a letter written by Party members and student cadres was given to each freshman; and they helped take photos for freshmen and their parents. Volunteers also helped carry luggage for freshmen and show them the way to the dormitory, answering questions at the same time.

Each freshman has his matching senior , who guides him to get accustomed to college life and make preparations for  the futurethe new study and life mode. On 24th of August24th , afterwhen freshmen have settled in the dormitory, volunteers visited the dormitory and had a joyful talk with freshmenthem.

To show appreciation for parents of freshmen and talk over the education, College of Energy held a meeting and Mr. Sun Ziguang, Mr. Ma Zhaohai, Mr. Gong Shufeng, Miss. Huang Shiyu and Mr. Li Shuirong all had gave a speechtalk, expressing the strong determination of the college to bring up more competitive students. Afterwards, parents attending the meeting took a visit to all the laboratories.

On 25th of August, teachers mentioned above took a visit to the dormitories of the freshmen after the seniors have done so. Freshmen all expressed warm welcome to the arrival of the teachers and the teachers showed expressed their hope that students can adapt themselves to college life better and more quickly.

At 7pm,  on 25th of August, the first meeting of freshmen from of College of Energy was held. First of all, Mr. Gong talked about several safety problems, from swimming to fire-fighting, from personal safety to property safety, from vacation safety to superstition resistance. After that, Mr. Lin told freshmen how to choose lessons and how to upload the photo which was needed for College English Test Band 4/Band 6. In the end, Miss. Huang made an introduction of to military training. All the freshmen sang anthem.

Welcoming new arrivals is one of the most important and distinctive missions tasks of College of Energy. It gives freshmen, parents and teachers a platform for communication. Our work is sure to be better andWe will try to do a  better work in the future.
