In order to implement the spirit of the thirteenth Five-year Plan in deep, to response to the call of building a beautiful China and a beautiful Fujian Province actively, and to accomplish the Chinese Dream，on July 25th, six of Xiaohe practice team from College of Energy at Xiamen University visited Ningde Nuclear Power Plant .We visited machine groups and the factory buildings，learnt the current situation of the development of nuclear power from engineers there, and got known to a lot of stories happened in the history of the plant which were rarely known by people. We acquired a lot from this meaningful trip。

2016 is the first year to implement the thirteenth Five-year Plan. Acceleration of the structural transformation and adjustment, rational optimization of the overall space arrangement are vital to laying a solid foundation for energy development in the thirteenth Five-year Plan period.  At Ningde Nuclear Power Plant, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. On the viewing platform, they showed us machine groups and the factory buildings down the mountain and explained the current situation of the development of nuclear power in Fujian Province. They also told us some common senses about the history of the development of nuclear power，and showed us several models. 

We met an engineer after the visit to the factory. By interview and communicating we learned more about the development of nuclear power. He also answered questions like “Whether it is true that a few machine groups are running on a lower power?” and “How to digest and save redundant electricity?” which were put forward by us. According to him，it is absolutely true that some devices are running on a lower power, but with the fatigue attributes of some metals, working in a low power for a long time can easily cause ageing in devices，shorten their working lives and when it is working at full power, it will gain a most stable working state even a best economic benefit. To solve the problem in supply and demand, we need to decrease unplanned shutdown, on the other hand, corporations should try to decline their power consumption. We also discussed our ideas on energy storage and region-crossing electricity supply. He said that out of the limitation of technique and cost，energy storage has been regarded as a knotty problem. As for region-crossing electricity supply, he told us that it mainly depends on capacity and demand for electricity of different areas, and electricity distribution by the government also plays an important role.    

While communicating, we talked about Hualong No.1 , which has been seen as a flagship brand in China. It confirms our faith in making our nuclear power technology universally admitted by international society，and it will undoubtedly bring us pretty substantial economic benefits. We have enough reasons to believe that nuclear power in China has infinite potentials. 

While communicating with the engineers, we found that there is a slogan saying that “Take Advantage of the Power of Nature” on the paper cups which were designed by CGNPG. It reveals our reverence for the nature，meanwhile, it shows the close relationships among nature, life and energy. This practice activity enriches our knowledge about energy sources， and inspires us to become a contributor to the development of energy source in the future. What’s more, it can motivate us to do our part for the stunning rise of China.
