The practice team from College of Energy at Xiamen University started their second journey towards north all the way. We arrived in Putuo District which belongs to Zhoushan in Zhejiang Province and made preparations for our investigation on July 25th.

After making our way to the destination, the team members were divided into two groups which were led by You Jiabin and Wu Dehong respectively. First of all, we visited the Meteorological Bureau where we received strong support. With the assistance of the officers, we got the data smoothly. Through this practice, we had a knowledge of the local wind power and sunshine resources. The other team headed for Administrative Service Center and the Electricity Bureau and got to know a project roughly.

After working for a whole morning, we set out to a company which contracted to build the micro-grid system. Then we made an in-depth discussion with the staff. After basically understanding their design principles and so on, we raised some questions concerning the experiences and some shortcomings.

In spite of the hard and tiring journey, our enthusiasm towards research didn’t decrease. And the hot sun didn’t make us stop. We presented the elegant demeanor and attitudes as a member of Xiamen University. What’s more, we sincerely hope our team can become a shining star among all the practice teams.
