On Octorber 19th 2016, at 7:30 in the evening, there was a conference held at Room A221 in the College of Energy where Yiban was introduced to all the 2016 new students by Wang Shengjie, the director of iXmu Yiban development center.
Firstly, Miss Wang told us about the primary functions of Yiban, containing registration, Lost and Found, the exchange of virtual currency and material objects and booking tickets. She mainly introduced the operational process of the registration and the tickets' booking to make the new students understand the functions more clearly.
Secondly, Miss Wang also introduced some auxiliary functions to us, such as the Voice of the Campus, Palm Campus, Yooc, mini-community and so on. The Voice of the Campus provides the latest news about the singing contests in many campuses for the music lovers. And we, students can make use of the study resource in Yooc to improve the abilities of our own. What's more, Palm Campus can make our daily life more convenient. In mini-community, we can improve the EGPA of the network class by registration, writing a post and uploading data to the database. At the same time, the activity-“Who Are the TOP 10 Yiban Class?” is also held to lead the new students to have a clearer look at the App and help students adapt to the college life. And the EGPA is the key point.
At the end of the conference, we had a lottery activity. Finally, two students got the first prize-a cup. Three got the second prize-a paper file. Five got the third prize-a key chain. All the prize-winners took a photo with the Yiban Bear as a memorial.
Through the conference, all the new students have learned more about Yiban, its functions and the way to use it which could facilitate our study and life in the following years.
