On September 23rd, ZiGuang Sun, the Party Secretary, delivered an important lesson to the freshmen of 2016.

  He firstly introduced the development of the Xiamen University, in which he explained the four spirits - Patriotism, revolution, self-reliance and science as well as what they are all about. After that, he introduced the young and booming College of Energy. Our college is brand new but was driven by a powerful scientific research team and an outstanding manage team. Our college has forged a mode of talents cultivation aiming at being more delicacy and meticulous. Students from the college will all have a bright future.

  Shortly after that, ZiGuang Sun shared some well concerned problems about the energy and the life of students in university. Based on his precious working experience, he gave the students some suggestions:

  First point is about transformation. Try to become more independent in life, more initiative in study and more practicing in planning our future. To achieve that, we shall be more optimistic. The next point is about goals, including training your personality and ideology, gaining great grades and being more adapting and creative in society. The third point is about finishing a mission of developing interest in our major and training our own to find a compatible job.

  ZiGuang Sun also give some advices on how to deal with study, joining the party, the internet, mentality, affection and safety, hoping us draw up a plan of our life sooner.

  At last, ZiGuang Sun encouraged us to treasure our time in University and try to be a personable, confident, noble, critical, grateful, responsible and dedicated person.
