On the evening of September 13th 2016, a 2016-year exchange meeting was held at HeMu Building A221, aiming to pass on the correct attitudes towards learning, work and so on to the freshmen and to guide new students to adapt to the new environment, new life better and faster.
The event was hosted by Chen Yuyan and it was divided into five parts. They were Qin Ruling, Wang Tianyu, Lu Xinyue, Zhang Yu and Guo Yijia who introduced the learning, student union, community activities, competition and party process and all aspects of college life were covered.
Firstly, Qin Rubin, a senior student, introduced the harvest of three years’ learning life, the perception of university life and the exceptions for the new students with a relaxed and humorous way. So that students had a preliminary study of university life planning. Then, as the representative of the Student Union, Wang Tianyu introduced the functions of the Students'Union and expressed the hope that the students would join the Student Union, a united and warm family. Next, Lv Xinyue introduced us many things about communities which most of us are interested in. At the same time she suggested that we shouldn’t register too many communities or else we will become very busy. We all recognized the significance of reasonable time planning. The following is Zhangyu who told us a lot about the science and innovation association and shared the experiences about how to acquire good results of science and innovation and how to enhance our ability. Last, Guo Yijia introduced the meaning of joining the Party.
After the speech, the freshmen actively put forward lots of questions about study, work and entertainment. The exchange meeting of new and old students is provided by the academic department, is the first formal opportunity for the freshmen to communicate with the seniors sister, and also it is the first time that the freshmen got a positive understanding of the university life. The smooth conduct of the activity became an excellent start of the Students’ Union.
