November 4th 2016, Chief consul Craig Morley, the director of climate change and energy of British Consulate General in Guangzhou, He Weizhi, the senior official in energy and Dr. Cai Daisong, Senior Commissioner for Fujian Affairs visited the College of Energy. Dean of college Li Ning, vice dean of college Guo Qixun, Director of Institute of Bio Energy Zhao Yingru and Vice Director Xie Yannan Participated in the symposium.

During the symposium, Dean Li Ning welcomed the visit of Craig Morley and introduced the cooperation with the UK universities and research institutes in the fields of energy and student development to them. He hoped to strengthen communication between the two sides and find more integrating points in the future and in a wider area, in order to carry out some various and multi-level cooperation.
Consul Craig Morley gave a brief introduction on the work of the British Consulate in energy, affirmed their cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, and expressed the hope that more cooperation projects can be carried out in the field of energy.
Zhao Yingru, Director of the Institute of Bio Energy introduced the basic profile and research work of our college as well as the British university research cooperation projects and students joint training projects.

After the symposium, Consul General Craig Morley gave a lecture entitled New Nuclear Energy - the UK Journey at A211, HeMu building, covering detailed and vivid description of the British nuclear energy development process, the challenges of nuclear energy development and the future development trend.
After the lecture, Craig Morley and other officials visited the Nuclear Energy and Biomass Energy Laboratory accompanied by Vice Dean Guo Qixun, Director Zhao Yingru and Vice Director Xie Yanan.
