On July 16th, the Fourth Energy Science and Technology Innovation Competition of Xiamen University took place in student activity center B207 room at 3pm. Among the competition we had several delegates, they were Xuefen Chen, vice dean of Acadmic Affairs, Kefu Zhou, deputy secretary of the party committee of College of Environment & Ecology, Zhaohai Ma, deputy secretary of the party committee of College of Energy, Jia Sun, deputy secretary of the party committee of College of Energy.

        We had 27 teams from different colleges joined the competition and 14 of them were admitted to the final round. Each of them presented their unique thoughts and impressive point of view on the topic like the recycling and utilization of wastes, the collection and conversion of energy, the development and application of new energy and so on. Their creative solutions lighted up the stage and all the audiences were fascinated in their imagination.

        After all the members delivered their subjects, Qixun Guo, associate professor of College of Energy, made a summary of the competition and gave out some suggestion to our competitors. Finally we had Self-sufficient distributed energy system based on ammonia fuel and fertilizer internet as the first prize, Garbage sorting plan of college student apartment with Xiamen University feature and Efficient resourceful treatment of organic wastes as second prize. Besides, mobile integrative device for straw collecting and carbon producing with other two subjects won the third prize and the establishment of solar charging network based on urban public resources and other seven subjects won the outstanding prize.
