On November 11th, the lecture on employment and entrepreneurship was held successfully in Room A204. Jiang Peng, and the general manager assistant of Human Resources and manager of Training and Development Dept. in Xiamen Jianfa Company, and Qinghui Chen, the vice general manager of Human Resources in Jianfa Company, were invited to share their experience on work and campus recruiting which was greatly helpful to improve undergraduates’ job-hunting abilities. The lecture was hosted by Fengshu Gong, Secretary of Youth League committee.

Firstly, Jiang Peng emphasized the importance of occupational planning and self-cognition which were the cornerstones of personal development. There were several steps to enhance competitiveness of undergraduates mentioned in his speech. The first was to clearly know what we were. Then, we could take our personal abilities into consideration while we made career plans. At the end of his speech, he pointed out the essential role of diligence without which it was impossible to meet a better life.

Then, Qinghui Chen started his lecture with a comparison of employment with marriage. There were some similarities between the two ones. Firstly, the job plans went with the targets which meaned the job plans should serve the aims. Secondly, we could compare a large range of jobs, while we were also selected by them. Finally, Chen gave some advice on face-to-face job interviews which put honesty in the first place.

The last section of the lecture was Question and Answer Section. And then the two teachers gave their best wishes to all the students at the end of the lecture.
